Great
We stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday (Nov, 2002)...The pools at the Mayan Palace resorts are like nowhere else...
they are HUGE and great for kids who like to swim.
The food was excellent for a resort. Other buffet meals I have had (even at top resorts) have been
okay at best, but the Mayan Palce had gret food...all types.
Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful, Mexico tends to be that way anyway. The rooms and rest of the resort are very nice.
Much is still not completed but when it is (late 2003)it is going to be unbelievable.
If you don't want to buy, do NOT do the timeshare presentation unless you feel that a 15% discount on yur bill is worth the 2 to 3 hour presentation...
PRESSURE...PRESSURE...PRESSURE!
A little out of the way if you want to go into town(Cancun or Playa del Carmen).
The beach does not offer easy access to the water, at least until
the reef is completed???
For water sports, you will need to go into town.
Overall, the Mayan Palce resorts are great, but wait another year before going to the one in Rivera Maya(Cancun).
