Riu Tequila 03/21/2003

Our family just returned from a fabulous week at the Riu Tequila. Everything was great. Everyone enjoyed the food. The buffets had so much to choose from. The steak house was good. The pools were very fun. The swim up pool bar had some shade. The beach was a short 5-7 minute walk (with two children in tow) along a beautiful covered cobblestone pathway. We used both the beach at the Yucatan and Playacar. The beach at the Playacar seemed much less crowded. We stayed at the Riu Playacar last year and found that there seemed to be better facilities at the Tequila, but the Playacar is on the beach. We saved quite a bit of money staying a the Tequila instead of the Playacar. It was great value for the money. The entertainment was very entertaining. So much to do. The lobby and hotel grounds are gorgeous. I would definately go back to the Tequila.
