Cancun & Cozumel Hotel, Resort & Villa Reviews
Park Royal Hotel resort 06/20/2003
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
I want to go back....NOW.
We just got back from a 6 day trip in Cozumel and had the pleasure of staying at The Park Royal Hotel. We had a very romantic and fun time. The Park Royal has a beautiful garden and all rooms have a view of the ocean. And the beds are very comfortable., not rock hard like most of the other hotels in Cozumel. Great food too. The staff at the Park Royal was very friendly and honest too. My husband's gold bracelet fell off somewhere in the room and the housekeeper found it and put it on the nightstand. They do have safety deposit boxes. Ask for the remote control to the TV at the front desk. We have stayed at the Park Royal three times now, and it will be the only hotel we ever stay at in Cozumel. The pool is big with a bikini bar and plenty of loungers for everyone. They have a kid pool with slides. The Garden is beautiful for romantic walks and full of exotic plants and flowers and topiary (ask to see Cloudio the rooster) and they have a very private beach, with more than enough seating and loungers. (just tell the timeshare people you are not interested)

Other info, on the first day in Cozumel, wear sunscreen when snorkeling. Restaurants to try: Rock and Java for sandwiches on the main strip and Capi Navigante for a romantic dinner with sangria(try the flaming bananas for desert with coffee ). Try the best grilled shrimp at Mescalitos on the east side of the island where the paved road ends. Beware ladies, the drinks are stout. An
