This place was very impressive. From the moment we got off the bus my wife was impressed with the scene. The room(standard) was nice, the food was wonderful,and the pools were nice and large. The complex is extremely large. Take your walking shoes, however they do have a cart that will take you around the premises. You just stop it and hop on if it's not crowded. If you are looking for a nice relaxing atmosphere geared for lovers, honeymooners, and a safe family environment, this is the place. The Xcaret Park next door was free for the all-inclusive packages(about $20-$30)without it. If you don't like waiting for check-in, my advice would be to get there as close to 3p as possible. As you very well know, a lot of hotel check-in times are after 3p.We got there at 11am, and had to wait about 1-1/2 hours (12:30) to get our room. I took advantage of the time by eating and walking around the complex getting lost and learning how to get around. The staff was nice and as helpful as they could be. This is a Mexican resort so don't expect everyone there to have a degree in English! I did say "hola" quite a bit. I would recommend this place to anyone. I would love to return and take my mother with me the next time. The beached lagoon may be the only thing that a person might have a problem with. It's manmade and nice. This area is surrounded by coral. I had no big problem with it. My rating EXCELLENT!
