Cancún & Cozumel
Gran Caribe Real 12/11/99

Myself and my partner stayed at the Gran Caribe Real Resort & Spa in September 1999. It is an all inclusive hotel. We found the facilities better than five star. The hotel was absolutely spotlessley clean. Our room was looking over the Carribbean Ocean. The actual location of the hotel was absolutely brilliant, we were in easy reach of all the shopping malls, just a short bus ride away.There is a dive school right beside the hotel pool, my partner got his PADI Diving Certificate whilst out there, they have their own dive tank, the staff are extremely helpful, you can book all your trips with them.
Maids cleaned our room several times a day, and you was entitled to one free room service per day.
We went on trips to CozumeL, Chichen Itza, Tulum and Xel-Ha, which we booked through our tour operator whilst there.
The only problem we found with the hotel it lacked evening entertainment, but we did that much through the day it never really bothered us anyway.
We also got 2 nights extra at the Moon Palace Sunrise due to our flight being delayed 59 hours. But that was no where as good as the Gran Caribe.
Once you go there you will want to return again and again, we are hoping to go back next year.
Highly recommended, I would say it was one of the best in Cancún.
