Fourth visit to this complex. New side was fantastic. We went Jan 18 with Air Canada Vacations.
This place gives you 4 specialty restaurants to dine in. We only ate at the Italian and it was the best pasta I have ever had. Chef is right out of Italy.
You have 2km of beach and property to use, again you never feel like you are overcrowded.
Food is excellent for buffet. Monday night is seafood night...lobster,king crab, scallops,shrimps and many other things.
Rooms clean and nice. Mini fridge with drinks and snacks. Robes and slippers too.
Barcelo is a fantastic resort. The complainers should not bother traveling. I can find no fault with this place even after 4 visits.
Tip the staff they work very hard, and treat them with kindness.
I am returning again in November for visit #5 to the new side again.
Can't wait.
We have not found a resort we like better then Barcelo so will keep returning, its just like home to us now.
Remember this is a partially self-serve resort by the pool and buffets so don't go knowing that and then come back complaining about the service...so sick of hearing this from people.
