I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Great service - hotel staff were wonderful, very helpful and friendly. Good food - one dinner buffet with lots of variety, two lunch buffets and two a la carte restaurants, steak and seafood. Steakhouse was excellent, seafood restaurant not so good. The beach was beautiful, lots of palm trees for shade. Watersports - hobie cats, kayaks, paddle boats. Beach was mostly yellow flagged but we were still able to use the equipment. The hotel is in the smaller community of Playacar, just south of Playa del Carmen. Easy 5 minute walk to shopping.
