Curacao Hotel, Resort & Villa Reviews Reviews
Chogogo Resort
03/31/2004
Reviewers Rating: Fair
Someone has Chogogo rated at four stars and the adjacent (and superior)Livingstone at three. This is a travesty: while the three-bedroom villa we viewed at Chogogo was quite attractive, open, and airy, the common elements: the "restaurant" (really a snack bar) and pool (small and cloudy, when we saw it) are quite inferior to the two neighboring resorts on Jan Thiel beach, let alone the grander facilities further northwest. Additionally, the villa triggered a reaction for my wife such that we had to move on to another facility. Comparatively, this is "a two masquerading as a nine". You can do better.

Book With Air
- From the soft sand and calm waters of Jan Thiel Beach to the pink flamingoes who summer nearby, this blessedly low-key resort on Dutch-accented Curaçao offers a true escape.
- Your own kitchenette, stocked with appliances, dishes, and utensils, offers a sense of independence and privacy, as do the cheery, brightly colored apartments and bungalows featured here.
- Chogogo is all about relaxation, from the tropical fish snorkelers spy on to the resorts rustic restaurant overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Shopping at Willemstad is 10 minutes away via the hotel shuttle; excellent scuba diving is steps away.
