Hotel Kurá Hulanda 03/28/2005

This was a very nice hotel. The grounds are beautiful and unique with 2 pools and sculpture gardens. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and efficient. The in-town location was nice for walking to shopping, restaurants, and other attractions. Many of the other beach hotels seemed a bit isolated to us. Even though this hotel is not on the beach, they have a very efficient shuttle that drives 10 minutes to a private beach near the Hilton. The beach has a small pool for cooling off, a restaurant/bar, and covered lounge chairs.
My only complaints were that the mattresses were not firm and the breakfast buffet in the Astrolab was overpriced (3 buffets for $52).
