Last May I stayed at this resort and had a wonderful, relaxful time. I read a bad review about cockroaches and rude people. I could not disagree more! The staff was kind and I would call them reserved, but when approached they are delightful and kind. They even offered to play tennis with us! This resort is not Varadero! You want tourism and total non stop activity then Varadero is your spot. This a calm and relaxing resort. The rooms were spectacular. They are all hand painted and I had no bugs at all. The maid service was excellent. Fresh towels, clean room, fresh water. One of the gardeners gave myself and my mother-in-law fresh flowers every morning. The food was great, we did not eat more because we couldn't. So my recommendation is this..you want total bake out, stay at Sol Club. The pace at this resort works on two levels, relax and relaxed! Enjoy!
