LTI - Bella Costa 11/15/01

Last May (2000), myself and seven other girls (ages 22-25) all stayed at the Bella Costa resort for a week. We had a great time and would definately recommend it to others. The atmosphere was relaxing, the beach was beautiful, and the staff was extremely friendly. Some of the girls found the food to be a little bland at the buffet, but we did go to two of the a la carte restaurants -the italian one and the grill (actually on the beach). We all liked the italian one the best, great food and a great view of the sunset. You even get entertainment while you eat. The entertainment in the day was fun -depending on whether you like to participate or not. Everything from dance lessons to spanish lessons or pool games. In the night the shows were pretty similar every night but we still enjoyed them and they really get the audience involved. As for the nightlife- there was a disco on the resort but it was usually empty. we still enjoyed ourselves but if it was just one or two other people in your group it might not be the excitement you're looking for. We did go just a few minutes walking distance down the road to another bar (LaRamba-I think?) where you paid 10$ american and drank all you wanted. This bar was pretty crazy, had alot of locals, and was always packed. The rooms themselves were really clean (bring some small gifts for the maids). Four of us went on a jeep tour-definately worth it! and the four others went into havana for the day (they all really enjoyed it). Overall, it's a great place and I'd definatley go back!
