An excellent facility. Beautiful grounds, lake style pool, white sand beaches, great foods at the a-la-carte restaurants (the buffet was so-so, but typical of Cuba) - the Italian restaurant had excellent food - better than most Caribean fare. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were clean and neat (not luxurious by Canadian standards, but very nice for the limited time spent in them). Close to the golf course, which is quite nice, and lots of on site sports, this resort is a must for Varadero visitors. (Review originally submitted on March 20, 2001)
