Hi all! Just returned from the Solymar 3 days ago. Unfortunately, it is a big disaster. I read mixed reviews before, I thought I would give it a chance. I already visited Varadero before but this hotel is a 2*. AND YES, people are correct, the air conditionning NEVER works and THE FOOD IS GARBAGE. Please avois this hotel, go to the TRYP Peninsula or the Iberostar Tainos or to the Paradisius, they are wonderful. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. Note: Yes, the beach is gorgious, but that's all.
