The Melia Cayo Guillermo was amazing.. it was so good that I ended going back 6 weeks after my first trip..I went at the end of Jan 2002 and then end of March 2002. To begin with the bus ride to the resort was quite nice they give you a tour.. IN November the airport in Cayo Coco should be open there fore the bus ride will only be 30 mins. Th resort was beautiful the ground well manicured and looked after, but the pool is breathtaking very inviting. Upon entering out room we firgured out that your room key operated the lights.. this is for they can conserve energy. The veiw was the ocen it was fabulous. We found there was a 24 hr bar in the lobby great for going to sit before or after dinner to relax.. I found they made the best drinks. The have 4 resturants.. buffet only open for breasfast and dinner. Italian open for lunch and dinner..( we loved this place) Beach grill open only for lunch.. but you cand sit in resturant style. then there was the international reaturant only open for dinner.. this was not our favourite.. it was a hit and miss for quality and amout of food. Want made this resort was the people,, the annimation team which act as your activites directors and entertainment were out of this world.. so friendly. Now the beach was breathtaking pure white sand and you can walk out for miles in the water. If you would like to see some photos just email me, SO keep this resort in mind..
