    Hotel Tryp Cayo Coco 09/18/02
    Reviewers Rating: Excellent
I just came back from Cayo Coco this past Saturday evening and I want to go back tomorrow. I had a fantastic experience. It was not the best experience I've had, but up there nonetheless.

I travelled with my boyfriend and it is not really a younger couple type of resort, but we enjoyed our stay to the fullest. It seems to be great for families with children. The first evening we got there we walked out onto our oceanview balcony to confront 3 huge palm trees and the front desk had made an error with our wristbands (we had superior all inclusive and they gave us the lower grade bands) but all was straightened out within an hour the next morning. The room they moved us to was absolutely breathtaking (try to get the Los Flamencos building), it's right infront of the flamingo pond and you have the view of the ocean right behind it.

The buffet was nothing to rant or rave about as it's a buffet and pretty basic, but the a la carte restaurants were fantastic. Our favourites were "La Fontanella" (Italian), "Dorado" (seafood) and the International one was great as well. "Yarey's" (the pizza place) was phenomenal (try the bruschetta mmmm). They could expand the choices of wines they provide as we pretty much had the same 1 type of wine at each restaurant.

The disco was okay, after a couple of drinks you can handle anything right?? The music was definitely moving, but they replayed a lot the same songs every night so bring a cd down to give to the dj and help him out with his collection - just another gift idea. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful. The flowers and trees and landscaping were immaculate. The pools were great as they were much cooler than the ocean and when it's hot hot hot you need a cold dip! The colonial side was not operating while we were there (the rooms were all vacant) but we still had access to that side of the resort so we had no restrictions. If you're planning on going horseback riding I highly recommend you take the 2hr tour as opposed to the 1hr as you'll spend much more time on the beach.

I could go on forever...but if you do go, I'm sure you won't be disappointed!!!
