    Superclubs Breezes Veradero 03/04/2003
    Reviewers Rating: Excellent
    Overall: Beautiful Resort. 4 STARS

Beach: Just picture this. You walk between jungle plants down a sandy path towards the beach. You hear it before you see it. Not loud.. just the faint rolling of waves againt the sand. The white sand (seriously white not any of that golden stuff) and the blue/green water is about 100 meters in front of you. Heaven!

Drinks:Premium liquor. I was drinking Dubonnet, Courvosier and Drambuie... for the hell of it. Anything you want.

Food: We went to the Buffet the first night and dined on Lobster (I'm sorry but all-you-can-eat lobster just sent my pre-wedding diet to the birds)

The next night we went to Martinos to use our a-la-carte ticket. It was comparable to fine dining in Canada. Live piano music, greco/roman sculptures, excellent wait staff(Angel was incredible), beautiful presentation, colour combinations, amazing taste, good portion sizes. I had Smoked Salmon (neat presentation) my husband had shrimp. Main course for both of us was filet mignon. Wine was perfect.

We were so impressed we couldn't wait to try the next restaurant. La mojito. Hmm. We knew it wouldn't be the same when we walked in. It was Mexico style with a Mariachi band singing table to table. Nice but the food was not so great... pan fried shrimp were big but soaked in grease and the lobster also seemed to be deep fried. Blah.

So the next night we headed back to Martinos (with a $10 CAN bill) and ate there again (... and again).

We rented scooters.. wild (watch the pot holes heading out on the pennisula!!)

We loved the jungle tour on the Zodiacs and riding the jeeps through the country side! ($$$ though)

    Massage was nice. ($20/hr)
    Gym was good.
Pool was great. You can win a free bottle of Rum everyday if you wanted to at the pool games!!
Staff good (beach guys wanted tips to use some the the free advertised watersports... not nice)
Not a boogie boarding type place.
Casino night was fun (more free bottles of rum)
The town was nice... not much to write home about.

Nice place, would recommend. A little expensive but you get the extras. Our honeymoon was perfect!
