Hotel Tryp Caya Coco 04/08/2003
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
My first hand experience when I went to this establishment was one of AWE ! Hotel Tryp is a very beautiful and breathtaking resort, flowers were overwhelming.
The food was excellent, however we did go super inclusive, we had a la carte every night. We had Italian, Pizza, Seafood, and Cuban style. The bar and grill on the beach was excellent. The beach was very beautiful and clean. There were lots of activities going on to be included in. There was even the coconut man with the special drink. The one thing I will highly recommend is to bring a huge mug or thermal glass for your drinks so you do not have to stand in line all the time for a drink, there glasses are very small. The pools were clean also and the salt water pool was the best, it was like be in the roman times with all the statues and the flowers. They had a resturant at the salt water pool, you will be amazed at the dish they have to offer , I do not want to spoil the surprise!
There is a lot of walking but when your eating all the good food you need some exercise and I am not in good health and found it very nice there. They have a little train to take you to all the different spots in the resorts and the different resturants. The seafood was by far the ultimate best, so good we went there twice during our weeks stay. One week was definitely not enough, for how much extra it costs to stay the second week I would highly suggest this. The staff can be slow at times but this is in there culture, however they are very friendly. There is a lot of tipping going on and yes it does help if you are in a huury. There is some shopping in the main lobby and some of the residents bring there items to sell in the main lobby. There are different excursions to take. My husband did the snorkeling and really enjoyed this. They also rented the mopeds and went for a tour of the island.I will gladly go back in a heartbeat, I really enjoyed the culture and the beauty of the resort. The only bad thing for me was the coffee, I do not like warm milk and this did not help me out when I wanted to have cereal and coffee. Well that is my summary and I would like to say have a great time !
