Excellent beach, better than Varadero, but quite shallow. Plenty of chairs and towels, but the resort was only 1/3 full. Staff terrific, went out of their way to be pleasant. Rooms clean, adequate. We did have to change after the 1st night, as the AC didn't work. Beds comfortable. Food - very little variety, and a very small buffet. Not a place for a picky eater. 3 free tours, excellent (Santa Lucia school etc , snorkelling on a catamaran and a train ride) A la carte as good as a 5 star restaurant in Toronto. Didn't do the seafood a la carte, hubby did, thought it was great. No complaints, would go back again, but might try Gran Club Santa Lucia next door instead. I rate this one a 3 star, and Gran Club the 4. Think they got it wrong in the brochure. Had a blast!!
