This was our first trip to Cuba and after reading the reviews, we thought it can't be all that bad and you can't please everyone. Well, we were very pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed the resort, the food was great, even though we didn't try everything. I can't see why anyone would ever go hungry. The buffets were well stocked with Cuban fare and fruits. The pool grill was where we ate most of our lunches, mainly pizza...they were to die for. I believe I liked them as well as or maybe better than in Canada.
The maid services were superb, nice and clean and friendly. If only the Canadians could be as happy as the Cubans at the resort. We sure lack something, not once did we hear them complain, they were always smiling and willing to help.
One thing I noticed was that if you didn't have an electrical converter, you could charge whatever at the reception desk. Cell phones do not work in Cuba.
If we go away next year this will be the place. We even liked it better than Hawaii, and a much shorter flight.
