Cuba is superbly friendly and I loved travelling through it on our excursions that weren't cancelled last minute. Our hotel was disappointing in that the food wasn't very good and there was nothing to do within the hotel when the weather was bad. The beach was beautiful and the rooms were clean but it's hard to sleep when the night festivities go on every evening and the pool area was blasting music every day. Overall the staff were great, the shops within the hotel were overpriced and we always found ourselves spending more money trying to have fun outside of our hotel...this included buying excursions to Havana, catamaran trips, etc. but most were cancelled last minute with no explanation and always too late to book another...The trips filled up quickly in the morning so you had to get down to the available reps at the crack of dawn. This also went for booking a table at any of the three restaurants which for some reason only accommodated a small amount of people for dinner. If you don't book by 8am you are stuck eating dinner at the buffet. I cant say I would love to go again..Gail
