Playa Coco 03/29/2006

We just returned from a one week stay at Playa Coco in mid-March. We had a very relaxing time. The weather is perfect...blue skies, warm and welcome breeze. Good place for kids (Kids disco at 8:30 pm a big hit!) The food was delicious and lots of choices. The Japanese restuarant is not to be missed! The resort is beautiful, colourful, very clean and has that "holiday" atmosphere (lots of salsa music going) All the staff were polite and courteous. The beach is beautiful! We would recommend bringing an insulated mug (we left ours behind as a gift) and your own beach towels (easier to spot.) Check out the second pool (tucked away) with the serve-yourself ice cream...delicious! We took a day trip to Havana which is very interesting with a competent guide. We would recommend this as a quiet place to get away from it all. Bring a book or two and plan to lounge around to your heart's content!
