For our honeymoon, we chose Sandals Royal Hicacos in Veradero, Cuba Feb 10-18th, 2008. We could not have made a better decision! The food, the staff members and the location were exactly what we wanted from a 5 star resort in Cuba. The beach was clean, plenty of chairs no matter the time of day, and even when the weather turned rainy a few times, we had a blast at the bars! So many food and drink choices, and not once a bad meal. We did hear of one person getting sick from a salmon appetizer, but that was it. All the couples we met were wonderful, gracious and so much help when I sprained my ankle in Havana - watch the stairs!! Again, the men who operate the golf carts, who organized the wheelchair, and to Yamira from Don Pasquale - what an angel. She helped my husband get my meals, and could not have been sweeter. Thank you!
The front desk staff, Reinel especially, was great in helping us have everything we could want to make our trip special. We will be back!
