Sol Palmaras 04/19/2007
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
The Sol Palmeras was very adequate for the price. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The food was O.K. (I had read before "what do you expect from a buffet" and I totally agree. You didn't starve but I didn't have to worry about gaining weight either.) I would definitely recommend the a-la-carte meals and book them first thing because the good ones get booked right away. Also the early times too. We ended up eating supper at 8-9:00 at night most times and that was too late. Chinesse, Steakhouse, and Italian were the favorites. The singer that played at the Italian were fantastic (I will never forget them). The beach was awesome, we spent all of our suntanning days there. The pools were nice but didn't step foot in one. We took full advantage of the ocean. Excursion were great especially the Catamaran well worth the $$. We did the dolphin swim add-on and it was great. It was in the ocean so the water wasn't gross like the pools (what I heard). Over all we had a great time and would recommend Sol Palmeras as an above average resort and would definitely stay again. We miss the great people we met!!
