Hotel Reviews:
Cayman Islands
Spanish Bay Reef Resort 3/30/00
Reviewers Rating: Excellent I just got back from glorious week in the Cayman Islands. I stayed at the Spanish Bay Reef Resort and found it to be great. It is an all inclusive resort located on the North West side of Grand Cayman. While the location is remote the people and the accomodations are well worth the very slight inconvenience of being located away from 7 mile beach. In fact I think it was a benefit being away from the hustle and bustle of being close to georgetown. The food was very good. The accomodations were more than satisfactory and the people who work there treat you like you are family and I do not exaggerate. They provide their guests with bicycles and small jeeps to get you where you need to go and at no extra charge. They go out of their way to make sure you are not only satified, but happy with everything about your vacation, and what is more they do it because they enjoy you and are not looking to point out where the tip jar is located. They have a full service bar, offered three meals a day plus snacks, had excellent snorkle and dive opportunities on the shore, and offered excusions to any attraction on the island. There is a full dive shop operation on site and what they don't have in plain site they will get for you if you ask and they encourage you to ask. I do not hesitate to recommend to anyone interested that they spend their vacation (holiday) with the folks in Spanish Bay Reef. You will not be disappointed. As for me I will be returning and as soonas I am able.
