Sleep Inn 11/1/00
Reviewers Rating: Good We stayed at the Sleep Inn in April/00. Its not directly on Seven Mile Beach, even though it looks like it on a map. We had a room on the street side which was very noisy as locals say hello by honking their car horns, and these are very friendly people. The rooms were recently renovated newer carpets, drapes and bedspread, furniture, tub surround, sink. However the air conditioner gave of a unpleasant smell, and discovered it was all rusty inside, we masked the smell with candles. We thought the rooms were clean and the room staff were nice. However we did not have a TV remote for about 3 days, which was very irritating since I asked the front desk twice for one. We also could not control the volume on our set. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast served by the pool every morning. It consisted of scrambled eggs, pancakes, toast, bacon, sausages, fruits, cubed melons, coffee and assorted juices. The local black birds trying to get the crumbs were very entertaining. I would say that for the money the Sleep Inn was a decent place to stay.
