Royal Reef Resort 11/15/01

We stayed at the Royal Reef for the first time in November, 2000. Although it had just opened in May, they were very well on their way of getting all the amenities up and running. The restaurant there was terrific! The waiters there were really fun and we would get 3 waiters helping us at all times! It is a small restaurant but that makes it so much more friendly. They also opened a spa recently but need some time to get enough business to have a full time staff. They also have a small market on-site that is a definate necessity. The water out front makes for fantastic snorkeling. Be sure to hunt for Tarpan under the docks! They also have free kayak rental which is a must do. The rooms are new and clean. It is truly a great place to stay and the island is great fun without the crowds!!(Review originally submitted on March 27, 2001)
