Hotel & Resort Reviews:
Cayman Islands
Hyatt 01/27/02
Reviewers Rating: Good
Hyatt suffers from being across the street from the beach. An overstreet walkway is provided, but it's a tedious walk. The rooms in the main hotel buildings are small and a bit shopworn. The "minibar" concept is expanded to include many things for sale: water, coffee for the coffee maker, sunscreen, etc --all at very expensive prices. Drinks at the pool will run $13 each. After a couple of days, we paid more and got into a new suite on the ocean side: much nicer and more convenient. Problem on that side is that there is no breakfast place! I looked at the Westin, directly on the beach. If I had to do it again, I'd have stayed there.
