Excellent
We stayed at Spanish Bay Reef back at the start of June for 12 nights and had a great holiday. The staff were very friendly and the whole resort was kept in a nice, clean condition. As we are both divers, we probably enjoyed the resort more than the non-divers staying there. This is because the shore diving is nothing short of fantastic. There is a huge reef about 5 minutes surface swim out with a mini wall which has 'fingers' which you can follow out to the sudden 20000ft drop off! The sealife is amazing and we regularly saw turtles and the odd stingray. There is not a lot else do to at the resort other than, dive, snorkel, swim and drink (sounds ideal to me!) as there is no night entertainment.
The food is very good, but is buffet style (good if you like to choose your food) and is usually served outdoors.
You can hire a jeep for half a day to travel around and see the sights. The great thing is that they are left hand drive and the Caymans drive on the left hand side of the road (also provides amusement listening to the Americans relate their panick stories!).
The rooms are basic, but then after a days diving all you want to do is sleep, you are outdoors the rest of the day!
I would certainly go again, although it's a little further away from England (lucky Americans!).
