Regal Beach Condos 07/08/2004

We loved every minute of our June vacation in GC and the Regal Beach Condos far exceeded our expectations! The condos are centrally located on 7 mile beach and are within walking distance of great restaurants, beach bars and shopping. However, you'd never know you were in the middle of everything as the property itself is quiet and peaceful. We stayed in a third floor OV2 unit. It had two bedrooms and two full baths and provided plenty of room for our family. The fully appointed kitchen allowed us to easily prepare some meals at the condo and keep plenty of snacks on hand. Furnishings and decor were all fresh and new and the daily maid service helped keep everything immaculate. There is a pool area right on the beach, and a smaller pool/hot tub in the middle of the property. We had no problems getting chairs at the pool or on the beach at any time of day. The beach isn't huge, but did not feel at all crowded. It was absolutely gorgeous and we were able to snorkle right off of the beach.
The condo management were very friendly and helpful, allowing us to check in early and making excellent recommendations when asked. Water sports are easily accessed through Red Sail sports next door at the Marriott (for the record, unless you actually walked down to their section of the beach, you'd never know there was a huge hotel next door).
We've been fortunate to visit some wonderful locations on our family vacations. However, the Regal Beach is the first place that everyone has absolutely loved. Even our 16 year old (who usually has the age-typical surly, too cool to vacation with family attitude) asked if we could return next year. I think a return gets a unanimous vote and we can't wait to go back!
