We were there 9 days and it was mostly wonderful! It is a beautiful property with lovely rooms, excellent food & drink, fantastic beach, good shows at night. We encountered some problems because we don't speak Spanish. We often did not get good service, or any service, in some restaurants because of the language barrier. Others around us were served, but we were totally ignored on several occasions. The staff was not always responsive or friendly when they learned we were American. Public Relations set up golf for my husband but the transportation never arrived to take him to the course, so he did not golf. Also, the "tour company" that meets you at airport and handles details for your return to the airport was very inefficient and gives a bad impression at the very start and end of your trip. When Paradisus Punta Cana teaches their staff English and solves the "tour company" problems, this will be an excellent value for American tourists.
