Excellent
Victoria Resort in Playa Dorado is the sort of place you would go for a quiet, away from it all holiday. The staff was always very helpful and the resort itself was perfect. It's not a big resort, only 190 rooms which suited my husband and myself perfectly. There are 4 restaurants, one of which is on the beach. In our opinion I would say, that after walking completely around Playa Dorado that the Victoria Resort is in the best position, very pretty overlooking the Robert Trent Golf Course, infact I would say it is in the middle of the Golf Course. There's a small bridge leading from the hotel over the lake which goes around the course.
I would rate this hotel very highly and indeed we would go there again.
They are in the process of supplying new sun chairs on the beach. The Victoria Resort part of the beach is never crowded.
There is always clean beach towels supplied every day. I would certainly recommend this hotel for couples. There's not much going on for young children.
Everything in the restaurant is washed with purified water, salads, fruit etc, and the ice cubes are from purified water too.
Anybody that is worried about going because of tummy upsets, don't be.
The holiday was a special present from me to my husband for his birthday, and worth every penny.
We were there from 17 November to 2 December 2000
