Reviewers Rating: Great
The BEACH is why you go. It is a white powder sand lined beach with palm trees and swimmable water that is clear enough for snorkling. The hotel was just built in 1999 and the grounds are filled with tropical flowers and a pond. The hotel has three free form pools with little islands in the middle that have palm trees and flowers as well as resident ducklings. The rooms were spacious and clean and had a mini fridge stocked with fresh drinking water and beverages daily. The food was mediocre, the main drawback is the fact that the buffet isn‰t air conditioned and it is very hot during lunch and dinner. The Italian restaurant can be missed, but do have the chicken cilantro soup at the Mexican restaurant. Stick with the chicken as your main entree in both the Mexican restaurant and Steakhouse. Be sure to be a blow dryer as one is not provided in the room. We paid $750 for nonstop air from Newark, 7 nights hotel, all meals, all drinks, and non-motorized water sports and I would go back for that price in a heartbeat.
