My fiancee and I visited the Dorado Club resort in February of 2001. I pretty much had to drag him there---he's not much of a water person, and kept complaining that we would get bored from sitting around all day doing nothing. Fast forward to two days later, when we're lounging on the beach and he turns to me and tells me that this was the best idea I ever had. Vindication! I cannot stress how well-kept the resort was and how enthusiastic and friendly te staff were. In fact, we loved our experience so much that we have decided to be married in the Dominican, but unfortunately the Dorado club does not offer wedding packages so we will exchange vows elsewhere:(
