Iberostar Punta Cana 11/14/01

We just returned March 6, 2001 from a week in Dominican Republic having stayed at the Iberostar Punta Cana. We have been too several all inclusive resorts and this one definitely rated high on our list. The staff was very friendly and the accomodations were very nice. There was plenty of activities to do and fabulous beaches. The only negative we would mention is the availability of the ala carte restaurants. We signed up the first day there and only had a few select times we could get in before our departure. This was a disappointment since we are not huge fans of eating the buffet every night. We usually select our resort by the number of restaurants for variety but found we could only get reservations for two of the four restaurants. We would suggest you sign up with guest services immediately following check-in. Also it wouldn't hurt to learn a few words of Spanish before your trip as it was hard to communicate a few times. Overall, I would rate this desti! nation and resort very highly and would include it in my list of places I would return to.(This review was orginally posted on March 9, 2001)
