This is a great spot with something for everyone. If you don't enjoy yourself here, it's your own fault. Go with a positive attitude and remember your patience as the service can be quite slow most of the time. Don't miss La Uva for lunch -- sit with you feet in the sand, overlooking the beach, eating lobster and drinking wine or whatever suits your fancy. Tuesday and Friday are lobster days. The garlic shrimp is great and available every day. The wait is usually 1 1/2 - 2 hours but get your room number on the list, ask for the approximate wait time, then go for a kayak or peddle boat ride just up the beach and return later. There is also a bar where you can have a few drinks while you wait. Massages on the beach are so worth the $30 US. The che ches are addictive; they tast like orange creamsicles. Take pepto bismol; it worked for me. The evening shows are entertaining. The pool at the beach is not very large; try the Garden or the Casino. The bar outside the Casino makes the best drinks and there is a piano player there late in the evening. Enjoy!(Review originally posted on March 14, 2001)
