Melia Tropical in Punta Cana 11/15/01

In April of 2000, we visited the Melia Tropical in Punta Cana. At first we were a bit overwhelmed by the size of the resort.It took a few days before we were comfortable coming and going from all the different restorants.This resort caters to many diverse countries,but thankfully most of the food that was available had a picture of what you were eating above the tray.(such as a fish or a cow) The staff were all very friendly.The pool was and will continue to be unforgettable to us.This resort is considered to be a family resort,but Americans with small children should beware most European ladies sunbathe topless.At first we were a bit shocked,but by the end of our vacation we had both decided that the children would come with us next time.
