Barcelo Bavaro Palace 11/15/01

This is in response to Judy Leon's nasty review of the Palace of 7/12/00. A group of us vacationed at the same resort just over a month prior to Leon's stay and what we found was nothing of the sort that she so horribly describes. The resort and beach were impeccably clean and the staff could not have been more friendly or courteous (they literally could not do more to make one's stay more enyoyable). Our mini-bar was re-stocked multiple times a day as were the beach towels. We came across zero bugs. The variety, quality and quantity of the food were stupendous and the restaurant staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. In fact, I have not met a people that were more amiable than the Dominican workers at the Palace. Two groups of family and friends have since vacationed there and they too could all but rave about the place. We all have been to other 5 and 6 star resorts but none could hardly compare to the time had at the Palace. We all hope to return in the near future. It was truly a vacation of a lifetime!
