Great
Myself, and 2 of my girlfriends (ages 26,28,28) stayed at Playa Naco for a week in April of 2001. This was our first trip so we didn't have anything to compare it to but we had a ball. The weather was fantastic. We had two days of rain, but it usually started late in the evenings. The resort was beautiful. The lobby and main buildings were very clean and spacious. The room we stayed in was clean but you could tell it was old. The bathroom smelled a little moldy but was cleaned every day. The pool was great, especially the swim up bar ( my personal favorite place to be). The staff were friendly and the entertainment staff were always entertaining and fun. They would always get the guests up to dance before their shows. If you love to dance then this is the place for you.
The food was good. The buffet was good but I found that certain dishes were served all the time. The fruit was absolutely delicious and fresh. The restaurants were also very good. Our favorite was the italien restaurant. The grill on the beach was very good also if you were in the mood for a hotdog, hamburger, french fries, etc.
The drinks were fantastic!!! We tried as many drinks as we could. A lot of the drinks have rum in them but mixed differently so there was a lot to choose from. The Dominican beer is also very good according to my friends.The Playa Naco special is a must.
The beach is beautiful. We would go there in the morning because thats when most of the water sports take place and they also have beach games. Oh yea, they have games and activites every day and the winner gets a bottle of rum. Very cool!!
This resort is a good place for singles, couples,and families of any age. We met lots of people and had lots of fun.
The only complaints I had about this resort is that the resort shut down at 12am and you could not get anything to drink(except at the disco) or eat after this. Also, the water sports (kayaking, banana boat, snorkelling etc) are poorly organized and often when we signed up for a certain time to do these activities we had to wait beyond that time, sometimes more than an hour.
When all is said, we did have a wonderful time. I would reccomend this resort. It was a lot of fun and there was always something to do.
