Great
I stayed at the Casa Marina Beach Resort with my partner and my parents in the period of 19 December, 2001 up and until 2 January, 2002 and it was pretty much o.k. It was my first time in an all-inclusive resort however and since I am a very picky eater and like to dine out fancy (especially during vacations) it was a culture shock for me to dine in these big "sheds" where you had to line up for your food along the buffets and sit at tables which had been used before (we were "too" late very often) and not at all or not properly set or made again with fresh table-cloths or napkins or fresh pitchers of water.
Actually this is pretty much my only complaint, because the rest of it was overall decent and pretty reasonable.
Now I am in 3 weeks leaving for the all-inclusive resort Melia Juan Dolio, which has more stars than the Casa Marina, but unfortunately I cannot find any reviews on that one anywhere...
The only less pleasant experience was a big flood in both our ajoining rooms on the ground floor during a big rainstorm on of our first nights there... Due to the poor construction / placing of the front doors and missing dorpels (?)surely this must happen every rainstorm (and judging by the cleaners who came pretty quick, it does...) and afterwords our rooms were pretty much damp all the time. Furthermore it was a bit annoying to us that the personnel flooded the whole place (terraces and flagstone-paths) every early morning, but it probably has to do with the hygiene of the place.
