LTI Sol de Plata Punta Cana Beach Hotel 05/07/02

We stayed at the LTI Sol de Plata Punta Cana Beach Hotel from Apr 26 to May 4th 2002.My husband and I had a wonderful week of sun,swimming and enjoying the meals at the Hotel.The a la carte restaurants were a good change from the buffet restaurant.The bartenders and cleaning personnel were the friendliest as the ones working at the restaurants hardly had a smile.We had no problems with any of the food although we were careful with the milk.For week of sun and relaxation our Hotel/Resort was the best.This was our second trip to the Dominican as we stayed in Puerto Plata last year, but over all we think the white sand made the beach at Punta Cana the best.They stocked the mini bar every other day and at first we had no face clothes, but then we had lots by the 2 or 3rd day.We were at the Hotel for the Dominican Holiday as well on the 28th and 29th of April.It was harder to get a seat at the bars and the buffet restaurant, but with some patience we made it through and by Monday afternoon they were on their way out with over 12 big coach buses taking them.After they left the Hotel seemed like a ghost town with hardly anyone at the beach or at the pool.The language there was not a barrier as most of the employees knew some English, but most of the languages there were German,French and of course their Spanish.Overall if you are looking for a quiet relaxing vacation in the Dominican, LTI Sol de Plata in Punta Cana was just what my husband and I wanted and we had a great time doing just that.
