FUN ROYALE 05/11/02

This past January stayed at the hotel Fun Royale in the Playa Dorada complex and I thought you all should be warned! During my stay there my friends and I were treated very poorly and do not recommend anyone to go there. We became the object of hatred by one of the other very "troubled" hotel guests, and even though we made several complaints that we were being harrassed and that this guest was really scaring us, the hotel staff did nothing to help us. My friends and I do not expect much other then some fun from our holiday, but we do expect that safety is something the hotel should be concerned about...they were not!Other then poor treatment we recieved most of the other things were okay, food, rooms ect. Its not on the beach so that was a bit of a haul, and then the part of the beach they tell you to use is the worst part. The disco was terrible, because all day long they promote other discos on the complex...the catch is they are not all inclusive. The entertainment was terrible, and the fun crew were annoying at best...the only thing they wanted to do was find a girlfriend for the week. The other disco ( crazy moon) on the complex were horrible to be a tourist in, expensive and full of people that are trying to get something from you...money, and other stuff that doesn't need to be mentioned here. My friends and I were mauled at the crazy moon disco, we did not feel safe. Although, we went to a disco in town and it was great, full of nice people just dancing and having a good time! The final slap in the face was when we got home we submitted a several complaints to the hotel's head office and they didn't even have the decency to respond! So if you are going there I hope you have a better experience then I did, and I recommend spending some time at the swim up bar!!!!(because that was the only fun thing about the place) Good Luck!
