Where do I start, lets look at some of the good points. The complex is beautiful and in the main the staff were friendly and helpfull and the island is all I thought it would be.
Next, lets look at the items that dissapointed us a little bit. The rooms not being ready on arrival after some 20 hours of traveling. One of the beds being broken and taking three days to get fixed. Birds flying around the main restaurant and eating and sitting in the food trays, even flying onto your table and plate if you were not quick enough. None of the non-smoking areas being observed. Not being able to get a resavation at the specialty restaurants because of over bookings, strange realy when the hotel was only one third full.
Now lets look at the real problems that were causing people to check out or requests to move to another complex, I bet they did not tell you this in the travel agent when you booked this holiday. Because of the lack of Americans traveling to this location they have come up with a special offer at weekends for local people. This is a cheep weekend break thats all inclusive. We found the locals to be obnoxious and extreamly rude. If you did not tie down your personal belongings on your sun lounger then it was fair game for the locals to take. They even had to shut the pool bar because of the food and drink fights. By saturday afternoon you could not see the bottom of the pool because of food, hair and in one case something rather unpleasant. On Sunday lunchtime they would visit the restaurant armed with bags, tin foil and plastic boxes and clear out all the food (like Locusts). Some of the younger men were very intimidating especially to my wife and daughter, and because of other such complaints the hotel put on more security guards at the weekend. And what did our rep say 'I am unable to do anything about it, what can I do?' no help at all. I would visit this island again but not this complex, unless the problems get sorted out.
