Dominican Republic Hotel, Resort & Villa Reviews
Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus 03/09/2003
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
This is a quiet club, older couples, families. The resort is gorgeous-beautiful tiles, marble, pottery everywhere. The lobby is spectacular, exquisite furniture, chandeliers, mirrors. The staff is very friendly and hard working. The resort is spotless. The food is very good and the specialty restaurants were excellent, esp. the Japanese restaurant. They have kayaks and catamirands but not too many people went out as the waves are onshore and the wind is pretty brisk and if you crash the equipment against the beach and you damage the equipment, you are responsible for the replacement cost. No snorkelling, per se. A fair no. of people went diving which is an extra fee. Moderate undertow. The beach is pristine, white and lots of shady huts and lots of chairs around the beach and pool. Food is available all day long, cake time at 4pm, hotdogs at 5pm, mealtimes just switch from restaurant to the next. We didn't think the entertainment was all that great and the disco was pretty empty most nights. However, the spectacular layout, architecture and tiles of the buildings was out of this world.
