Barcelo Bavaro Beach Resort 02/21/2006

We were staying at the resort Bavaro Caribea... which is one of the many Bavaro hotels in Punta Cana, Domincan Republic. We were down graded to the Bavaro Beach hotel. The service was horrible. The hotel staff was unfriendly and rude. They didn't take credit cards in the hotel shop and lied to us about the Beach hotel being the same as the Caribea hotel. They didn't make any attempts to change our room. There was mold on the ceilings and one of the beds slanted downward due to a missing leg. Although it was an all-inclusive resort we couldn't get water bottles as the other hotels and were given arm bands like a caste system. I would strongly suggest choosing another resort chain.
