Casa Marina Beach and Reef- an Amhsa Marina Resort 08/18/2004
Reviewers Rating: Excellent
My sisters and I have just got back (well 2 weeks ago!) from the Casa Marina Reef resort and we still wish we were over there! I cannot praise the complex enough!
None of us were ill and we never saw one bug or cockroach in our room! The food was great in both the a-la-carte restaurants and the pre-bookable ones. I found no trouble finding suitable foods and I am vegetarian! The sporadic electricity, did make us laugh while we were trying to get ready to go out in the evenings, applying lipstick in pitch black is not recommended! Best thing is to take it all with a smile.
We went on the Paradise Island excursion and thoroughly enjoyed it. We went snorkelling along the reef, which was wonderful (our snorkelling guide managed to notice that I had fell out of my bikini top while snorkelling! Whoops! How embarrassing!) The speed boat ride through the mangrove forest was great! Our guide was Ariel and he was fantastic and looked after us all like family!
The shows in the Amphitheatre were fun and imaginative. My sister managed to get dragged up to participate in the Diva show by Paddy (she will never forgive him!) and who could forget her press-ups! The scenery was fantastic (well done Frata!) The Kikos team were great! I must especially mention Angelo, Paddy, Charlie, Frata and the new entertainment manager, whose name escapes me! Sorry!
Jose is the charming waiter in the Marlin Bar, and also the waiter in the Jalapeno restaurant, who’s name begins in A and ends in X (can’t remember after the tequila and Kahlua shots!) The Disco Bar was good fun for something to do later in the evening and the DJ will try and play any requests you make, well apart from Abba!
We had such a lovely time and have hopefully persuaded some of our mates to come back with us next year!
