Dominican Republic Hotel, Resort & Villa Reviews Reviews
Decameron Beach & Casino Resort - All Inclusive

Reviewers Rating: Great
My wife and son recently visited the Dominican Republic (Feb.13-19)and stayed at the Decameron Beach & Casino Resort. Before going, I read the reviews about the hotel and there was mostly bad reviews that almost made me changed my mind. We are so happy that we did not follow the negative feedback from people. We had the most wonderful time and all the people were very nice from check-in to check-out. People mostly spoke Spanish but I found that a lot of the workers spoke a little English. Our room was very clean. It's not a brand new hotel so one cannot expect the bathrooms to be hi-grade but they were very clean. The workers were always busy mantaining the property inside and out. As far as the food goes, just stick to what you know and stay away from the oil-filled stuff and the fruits that are not fully ripe. My wife got sick from something she ate which was probably the eggs. Also remember that the water in the bathroom is salt water so do not drink. I had nothing but good news to tell my friends and family when I got back. As a result of that, a group of us are planning a trip to stay at the same place next year. If you are a five star person, do not stay at this hotel beacuse that means that you will never be happy with the service, no matter how good it is. I am glad that I did not listen to the "five star" people experience and cancel. Everyone's experience may be different but ours was great. As far as food goes, I recommend the Mexican restaurant and the pizza across from the gym. If you are not a hard to please person like we are, you will have a wonderful time, especially when you know that you are coming from a very cold climate. I am also sure that some of the people I met there vacationing feels the same way I do. Feel free to email me if you have any questions. Sincerely, Orville S.
