Club Jamaica 5/21/00

My husband and I just spent our honeymoon at Club Jamaica in Ocho Rios. I would like to say it was one of my most UNpleasant experiences. Most of the staff was lazy, espescially the dining staff. The entertainment staff did a fine job, with the exception that they only know how to play rap music and disco. I can hear that kind of music here, I was hoping to hear raggae or calypso. Also, on the fourth day of my week's stay; our hotel room was left unlocked by the maidservice. Several rooms were, by the way. I had my new tennis bracelet (a wedding gift from my sweet hubby) stolen, and when I confronted the hotel management, they basically said, "OH WELL." So, I do plan on returning to Jamaica someday, as it was a lovely country. But I will never stay at Club Jamaica again. From the talk on the airplane home, no one else who stayed there plans on returning either. We all had an unpleasant memory of that so called resort.
