We recently stayed (05/27 - 06/03) for a 7night all-inlcusive stay through Apple Vacations. The resort is very well maintained, and clean. All the employees always seemed to busy doing something. My only complaint about the resort was the lack of anything to do after 9pm. Yes, the Gazebo bar was open as well as the cricket club, but unless you wanted to just watch TV, that really didn't suit our needs. Probably the one night of entertainment that everyone seemed to get involved with was the Elvis impersonator.
If anyone is considering not going to the resort without the all-inclusive package, I have one word - DON'T. The prices of all the food and drinks are EXPENSIVE. For my wife and I (4yr old son ate & drank for free), it would have been almost $300 per day, and I don't drink alcohol.
The golf course is currently being totally rebuilt, so don't expect to be able to play on the resort course until at least January of 2001. The water park is definately a highlight, as my wife and son spent most of their time there. There is also internet access at the towel place by the water park, although it is never mentioned by anyone. Sailing was also excellent, they have a good fleet of sunfish(s), and small hobie cats.
Rooms are kind of average, but all have balconies, or patios depending on location. I definately wouldn't opt for the oceanview upgrade. We were in the west tower, on the fourth floor towards the front, and had a nice view of the ocean as well as the golf course's ancient aquaduct.
