We were a little apprehensive during our bus ride over, but once we pulled into the resort we were in awe. The grounds were perfectly manicured and well kept. We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived, until the moment we HAD TO leave... trust me we didn't want to! The rooms were kept very clean. The sun comes up early and the sunsets are quite beautiful. There were 5 restaurants on the resort, so we never had to leave and never got bored. The Japanese restaurant was quite a treat. Water sports are available and a tonne to do during the day (volleyball, pool games, drinking games etc) in the evening... disco, bars, walks along the peaceful beach, casino and a little all night grill right on the beach. The guy makes the best 'jerk chicken' ever..even at 3 in the morning... with a smile!! EVERYONE was so friendly! We met a few couples there who tried out the SPA and got 'one of the best massages' they have ever had. When we tried to book later in the week, there were no openings... so make sure you BOOK EARLY in the week. It was a great place for our honeymoon. The locals were invited to sell some of their work on the beach (paintings, wood work, straw hats & bags etc) so there were some great souveniers to take home. We are planning on a reunion with some of the other honeymooners we met there, as a tenth anniversary - or perhaps sooner! We'd definitely go back!
