Breezes Montego Bay 11/6/00

My husband and I had been married at Grand Lido Braco back in March and because we loved it so much we decided to give Superclubs another visit this year. We were told about the Superclubs Supersurprise option where for a discounted fee you would be placed at any one of the superclub resorts where there was an opening. So you could potentially end up at either of the 3 Grand Lido's, 2 Hedonism's, or 2 Breezes. Well unluckily we got stuck at Breezes Montego Bay. Come to find out, just about everyone on a supersurprise package ends up there! It ends up being no bargain because what you pay is what it would cost to stay at this resort anyway! And believe me when I say NO BARGAIN. The rooms are no bigger than a ships cabin(claustraphobic), the pool is fairly small(Lshaped), the staff is much less friendly than Grand Lido resorts, the food doesn't even compare. The activities were not well attended. On pajama party night and Toga night, not one single person wore pajamas or a toga. We had no hot water for the first 3 days! The whole resort takes up only about 8-10 acres. Very small. Luckily there are a couple good restaurants and a casino down the street from the resort. The one good thing I can say about the resort is that their Italian restaurant, Martino's, is excellent. Other than that, I would pay the extra money and go to a Grand Lido resort next time. Once you are there, the only way to switch is to pay rack rates for rooms at the other resorts! We will not be going back to Breezes Montego Bay. All you could hear on the beach was other couples complaining because they ended up there as well.
